I recently was Adjunct Professor at a local community college having taught Introduction to Statistics for two years. I recently tutored a very worried graduate (Masters Program) student (in a nursing program) to success in an on-line Bio-Statistics course project. She earned a "A" for the course. Also, earlier this year, I helped an Anesthesiology Nursing Graduate Student in her on-line Biostatistics course and the result was that she scored the highest overall average of any student in her class and earned an "A" for her final grade. I can help you to understand and apply statistical concepts through proven ways that I have refined for explaining these concepts in simple, understandable terms.
Probability,

Probability

I have taught Introduction to Statistics which includes Probability for two years at the community college level. Through hundreds of hours of teaching and tutoring this subject, I have developed ways of communicating these concepts in easy-to-understand methods. Concepts I am especially adept at communicating include the following: sample space (decision tree), "AND" (intersection) versus "OR" (union), Venn Diagram and conditional probability.

The Right Tutor. Great Effort. Great Results.

The job of a tutor is not simply to present the material; rather it is to ensure that the pupil understands and can apply the lesson learned. This requires that the tutor be able to match his method of teaching and explanation to match the individual student's needs. I'm thrilled to say that Ira was able to do this with great skill. Though our daughter had fairly good mastery of many concepts on the SAT Math, she was often missing the "tricks." Ira was able to cut through her basic level of understanding and bring her to the next level. After she completed her first practice test, Ira confidently predicted that he could likely get her score to a 700. This is exactly what she scored on her first attempt. With regard to his work, Ira has been very professional and understands what it means to provide good service. He is extremely prompt at returning calls, emails or texts. We have never had an issue scheduling him, as he was always able to accommodate us. We never felt as if our daughter was rushed; he always took more time than the actual hour allotted and would ensure that she understood what was covered during each session. Ira often used humor to liven up what could otherwise be a tedious process; our daughter actually ENJOYS the sessions with him. At the same time, he could be quite serious, often unrelenting when trying to ensure that a concept was definitely grasped. We were so happy with him that we have continued to use his services as a math tutor for our daughter in Pre-Calc, as well as with our younger daughter in algebra. We would not hesitate to recommend him for any math tutoring. He is an excellent tutor. We are so happy we found him.

Awesome Tutor

Knowledgeable, patient, engaging and respectful. Ira did not release DEMIAH until he was sure she understood what he taught her. That alone impressed me and made me feel like it was money well spent

Great tutor for SAT math

Ira helped my son with SAT math. We were particularly interested in reviewing harder problems. Ira was extremely knowledgeable and was clearly committed to making sure my son had the best preparation possible. He solicited feedback as well, to be sure he was addressing all our concerns. I would recommend Ira without reservation.

best teacher in the world

Honestly I thought I’d never understand math, and let me tell you it’s only been day 1 with him and understood I think a whole year of math lol. Honestly he is super communicative and goes on your steps, never rushes you or judges you. Reminds you to step back and think before answering and I think that really opened my eyes! Definitely recommend!

Knowledge and Patient Tutor

I've been working with Ira for a few weeks to prepare for the elementary math Praxis. Ira's knowledge, application, and delivery of the content is second to none. He's highly skilled at applying real-world scenarios to help make connections and further understand the material, and his patience and encouragement are very much welcomed and appreciated when I'm slogging through what can often be a painful process of learning math concepts. With Ira's guidance and support, I'm slowly but surely gaining more confidence towards meeting my mathematical goals.
