Diane T. is a sensational tutor for several reasons. As a new student learning the Mandarin language, Diane was very thoughtful and meticulous in her lesson planning, teaching structure, and review. Diane was always well prepared with lesson plans that set a solid foundation for the future. She was also very flexible in her meeting times, understanding when conflicts occurred, and as professional as you’ll find. Polite and respectful are two of the words that come to mind immediately when describing Diane’s character. One of my favorite parts about Diane’s lessons were her teachings around the Chinese culture. She always found a way to tie our current topics to the real world which served me well as I was always curious as to how our lesson linked to the “Big Picture.” Above all, Diane’s greatest traits are her understanding and ability to keep patience with her student(s). While frequently my pronunciation was unclear and incorrect, or my ability to remember vocabulary words was deficient, Diane ALWAYS remained positive and enthusiastic. I highly recommend any students, young or old, to work with Diane as I hope to sometime again in the future.
