Graphic Design

As an undergrad degreed Apparel Design/Fashion Merchandising major with an emphasis in Merchandising and a minor in Business, I don't sew; however, I do create unique, creative graphic designs, as I'm well-versed in and have very much enjoyed, using Canva (Used to a plethora of things such as posters, flyer, business letters/letterhead, t-shirts, resumes, certificates, cards, videos, calendars, newsletters, and invitations, and much, much more; however, I mainly use it to create logos and/or business/marketing branding kits/concepts for commercial use/businesses, which can include a color combo to match your brand/niche, social media content [posts/story posts], banners, and covers etc. to match.) and Printful (Used to create a variety of items that can be uniquely customized and sold via drop-shipping for various niches for men, women, and/or kids such as t-shirts, t-shirt dresses, hoodies, hoodie dresses, sweatshirts, leggings, men's underwear, socks, men's swim trunks, women's one-piece swimsuits/two-piece bikinis, beach towels, unisex bomber jackets, jogger pants, skirts, tote/duffle bags, water bottles, phone cases, canvas wall art, and posters etc.; all-over prints also available for some items.), which are both online graphic design tools. I possess about 5 years of experience, utilizing both platforms; therefore, I would love the opportunity to use my exceptional creative graphic design/artistic skills in order to assist you with color combo choices and logo/garment/social media marketing design concepts etc. for personal and/or business/commercial use. Thank you in advance for allowing me to assist you!

Career Development,

Career Development

For the past 20 years or so, I have passionately dedicated myself to helping others by assisting them with major decisions such as searching for a tech school, college or university to attend, major/minor degree options, searching for a new job/career or changing jobs/career fields, assistance with professional resume’/letter of application/cover letter/reference letters and reference lists etc. (both writing/editing), mock interviewing preparation and practice, and interview attire selection and much more. I am very grateful that people trust me enough to allow me to utilize effective communication skills (both verbal and written), computer skills, planning and organizational skills, analytical skills, time management skills, creative skills, and research and documentation skills etc. in order to help them to become a more confident and successful version of themselves, with regard to Career Development. A few years ago, I was blessed to have had the opportunity to work with and successfully edit a resume’ for an international professional, who lives in Spain and found me via another social platform. In addition, I often have the opportunity to work with many individuals, who are not as seasoned in the work force, but who may just be graduating from a technical school/college/university and therefore they may need a lot more guidance, regarding job search tips and referrals, mock interviewing preparation and practice, as well as assistance with writing their first cover letter and editing their first resume’, which may seemingly be very simple to start until you actually have a meaningful conversation with the person and begin working with them to uncover all of the unique and interesting things about them, regarding their personality/character traits, experience (work and/or volunteer), qualifications/skills, passions, and strengths, showing them how to highlight it all, making everything that they have work for them to positively contribute to the marketplace.
Marketing,

Marketing

In August 2001, I received my BS degree in Fashion Merchandising & Apparel Design (emphasis: Merchandising) with a minor in business from Georgia Southern University. Also, from Fall 2007 to Spring 2008, I was given the opportunity to teach Marketing Education courses at the high school level, which was definitely a great experience for me because I was able to combine all of my passions, which include, but are not limited to teaching, marketing, and fashion. The courses taught during this time period included both Marketing Principles and Fashion Marketing. My students were excited about this new Marketing education program, as they were given the opportunity to learn about fashion and marketing all around us and how they both affect our everyday lives in some way. By implementing engaging, highly interactive, hands-on activities, discussions/debates, and projects, my students were able to relate and successfully apply what they learned each day about fashion and marketing in the classroom to their very own personal lives. In addition to teaching Marketing Education courses, I also had the opportunity to teach Study Skills I for ninth graders, which I thoroughly enjoyed, as well. In conclusion, I strongly believe that I am well-qualified candidate to be your tutor in this area. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.
Public Speaking,

Public Speaking

I have always been very big on spreading positivity, motivating, and inspiring/empowering others, in general, which is where my initial interest in public speaking initially came from; however, I actually took and successfully passed a Public Speaking fundamentals course in college, which sparked even more of a passion for and interest in motivational speaking/public speaking. Honestly back then I needed to really work a little harder on my delivery, as I was an extremely shy individual, who always had well-crafted, inspiring messages to share in church, etc., but the problem was that I needed to overcome my shyness and somewhat fear of crowd presentations so that I could do the very thing that I so wanted to do and become really good at, which was learning to speak passionately in public about any topic. I am by no means limited in my reach or range, regarding whom I can or will further assist with Public Speaking/Motivational Speaking; however, the majority of my actual personal expertise and experience in this area mainly comes from many years of speaking in various churches, including my own parents' church, as my Step-Father is a Pastor. While serving as a member of my parents' small, rural community church for almost 10 years, I proudly wore many hats, including Welcome and Announcement Clerk, Choir Member, and Children's Sunday School Teacher: as the Welcome and Announcement Clerk, I served to make our family and visiting friends feel at home and welcomed by delivering a brief, friendly, and warm-hearted welcome to our family and friends, along with the announcement for the day/week/month, besides, it was also my duty to deliver colorfully, soul-stirring, and engaging children's object ministry lessons to our youngest members and visitors each Sunday, as the Children's Sunday School Teacher.

I have been highly skilled at utilizing the computer for over 25 years. In undergraduate school, I successfully completed the course Computers and Applications with a grade of A. Since then, I have successfully completed the Technology for Teachers assessment, which is also a Georgia requirement for teacher certification. In addition, I am constantly learning new and exciting things on my own about the computer, as I consider myself to be a lifelong learner. As a tutor, Early Childhood Education graduate student, and soon-to-be certified Early Childhood teacher, I also realize the importance and impact of technology in our everyday lives. Without the knowledge of general computer use, it is almost impossible to obtain employment in most job sectors today.

My Students successfully learned how they could challenge themselves and get the most out of their high school experience by learning transferable skills for life and setting both short and long-term goals. They also learned about the importance of great time management, as well as great communication, organizational, and note-taking skills, in addition to great study and test-taking strategies etc. I firmly believe that possessing exceptional study skills is essential to becoming the best student that an individual can be at any age and in any subject area, as properly and regularly employing them will definitely lead to both academic and personal success. Marketing,

Study Skills

I would love to help you to improve your study skills. From Fall 2007 to Spring 2008, I was given the opportunity to teach marketing education courses, as well as study skills I for 9th graders at a nearby high school. I thoroughly enjoyed teaching study skills and was also given the opportunity to create my own lesson plans (aligned with Georgia standards). Creating my own study skills lesson plans was a lot of fun, as it allowed me to utilize my creativity in developing and implementing dynamic activities and projects, which led to my students becoming even more and more responsible for their own learning and actions, which eventually resulted in increased student achievement. Teaching this course at the high school level was an overall great learning experience even for myself, as well. In conclusion, I hope that you will consider me as your study skills tutor based on my experience: thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

Cooking

If you would like to learn basic cooking skills, simply improve or advance your own personal cooking skills, get tasty ideas for your kids, who may be picky eaters or even prepare your young adult(s) for college life and/or family life, then WELCOME: you have definitely come to the right place to get your questions answered, as well as to enjoy fun, flavorful, budget-friendly, and crowd-pleasing cooking ideas and plans etc. for yourself and/or your family and/or friends! Around the age of 10, I affectionately became known as “Mama’s Little Chef”, as I had began to become more and more interested in cooking and watching my mom create beautiful and tasty artwork in our kitchen, as she cheerfully and strategically prepared our family meals. My mom taught me how to properly prepare and cook foods, that she learned from her family and friends over the years, so basically I put my personal, creative spin on everything to liven up the recipes, as well created my own, as I begin to increasingly become more and more passionate about cooking and confident in my own skills. In conclusion, when it was time for me to go to college and get married and later start a family, which now consists of my husband and our six year-old son and 12 year-old daughter, I was both very grateful and happy to be well-prepared, as over the years, in addition to learning a lot about cooking firsthand from my amazing mom, I had also learned a lot from continuously watching countless cooking shows and videos, as well as from reading lots of cook books and magazines, which detail basic to advanced cooking techniques from expert chefs, as well as everyday moms, dads and/or husbands and wives, who may have also possibly been a college student, preparing for the real world like myself.

As a graduate teacher education student, I have taken and successfully passed two of the three PRAXIS Core Tests, which are the Reading and Writing portions. In addition, I have also taken and successfully passed all three portions of the GACE Core Tests (for student seeking licensure to teach in state of Georgia), which are the Reading, Writing, and Mathematics areas. Regarding the major subject matter GACE tests, I have taken and successfully passed one of the two Early Childhood Education tests, 001, and one of the two Marketing Education tests, 002, when I was once teaching high school Marketing Education and simultaneously seeking alternative certification for this particular area via GATAPP. GATAPP is an awesome alternative teacher certification program for Georgia career changers like myself.

I would like to help you with the Regents tests. In January 1995 (attending Georgia Southern University), I took both Reading and Writing tests and passed them both on the first attempt. At that particular time, a 61 and higher was considered passing for Reading and a 2 or higher was considered passing for Writing. My score for Reading was a 63 and my score for Writing was a 2.
