I am currently an educational/statistical consultant for SPSS, an IBM Co. I am an IBM Certified trainer in SPSS and Modeler and teach SPSS and Modeler classes part-time for IBM. I retired from IRS in Dec. 2007, after 32 years with the U.S. Federal Government.
At IRS, I was known as “Mr. DIF” because of my leadership, oversight, and hands-on development of IRS’ discriminant function (DIF) models for selecting all types of compliance workload. At IRS, I also accumulated extensive experience in: 1) other case selection and resource allocation modeling; 2) tax gap and tax compliance research analysis and modeling; 3) business measures development, monitoring, and analysis; 4) sample survey design and analysis; and, 5) customer satisfaction survey design and market segment analysis.
I have exceptional leadership, project management, and statistical analysis and modeling skills, and I am proficient in SPSS software (using it for statistical analysis and modeling) and Modeler software (using it for statistical analysis and modeling and for text and data mining). I am also pretty proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visual Basic.
