Art History

I have substantial experience and expertise with Art and Art History. Indeed, I received a 5 on the AP Art History Exam prior to attending Colgate University in 1997. In addition, I minored in Art history at Colgate. I continue to remain active in DC Art scene as a volunteer art installation screener with the National Museum for Women in the Arts.

Baseball

I have substantial experience and expertise with playing and coaching baseball. Indeed, I was a recruited Division I prospect pitcher. Additionally, prior to damaging my right shoulder, I was granted try-outs as a free-agent with a few professional baseball teams. I continue to give individual baseball lessons in the DC Metro Area as an independent instructor. I also work with Headfirst Baseball and Sports Camps.

Business

I am a lawyer, policy analyst, and entrepreneur with ten years experience in business analysis and development. I have built several successful businesses in fields ranging from real estate to athletics and management consulting. I have worked with law firms and lobbying firms, am on the National Board of Directors for a non-profit healthcare organization, and worked as a Federal law and policy advisor collaborating with the State of Louisiana during the Post-Katrina State healthcare rebuilding efforts.

College Counseling

I am the Director of a Division of the Headfirst College Advisory Team (HCAT). Headfirst is a Washington, DC based company that specializes in sports camps and advanced sports clinics for kids of all ages. Some of these kids are college bound student athletes and Headfirst offers the HCAT program to meet the college guidance counseling needs for some of these students and their parents. I help college bound student athletes navigate the complex college admissions process along with the NCAA regulated recruiting process. I am very familiar with all college admissions processes and have several years experience working with high school kids and their parents.

Fitness

I am a United States Professional Tennis Association ("USPTA") Certified Tennis Teaching Professional and I own and operate a Serve First, LLC. One of our divisions provides fitness/nutritional services and consulting for people of all ages. I also work with Headfirst Sports Camps as the Director of their College Tennis Advisory Team. One of my responsibilities as a college advisory to student-athletes is to help them create a fitness and nutrition plan so they are ready to play their respective sport at the NCAA Intercollegiate level.

Public Speaking

I am a national member of Toastmasters since 2000. I am an attorney with a background in general litigation and trial court advocacy. I am trained in the art of public speaking, advocacy, and persuasion.

Tennis

I am a United States Professional Tennis Association ("USPTA") Certified Tennis Teaching Professional. Indeed, I am currently working as Senior Staff Tennis Professional at a Country Club in Northern Virginia. I have worked as the Director of Tennis for a Northern Virginia swim and tennis club. In 2008 I was selected by the Washington Post as the Virginia "All-Met" State Coach of the Year for leading my High School Boys and Girls Varsity Teams to Virginia State Championships. I was a heavily recruited Division I player. And played all four years (including #1 singles and doubles) for Colgate University (a Member of the NCAA Division I Patriot League). I was an all-conference player and an all-conference academic team player. I was nominated as a Regional Academic All-American. I continue to give individual and group tennis lessons in the DC Metro Area as an independent instructor. I also work with Headfirst Sports Camps as the Director of their College Tennis Advisory Team.
