Very patient and kind tutor

Antonio is fantastic with my young son. He is very patient and positive and is able to keep him engaged. He has a very calm demeanor and teaches at a developmentally appropriate and fun level but never talks down to my son or makes makes things overly silly like some tutors tend to do with very young students. He is very focused on getting to know my sons learning style and costumizes materials and lessons for him. I highly recommend him!

Showed good examples of what was being taught. I personally need more structure in terms of assignments to do after the lesson in order to reinforce the material. I’m sure that will come in time, after all, this was the first lesson.

Experienced and gentle instructor

We just finished first chess class with Antonio. Kids liked him and they were very looking forward to the next lesson. He was well prepared and very patient with my two chess beginners. I personally think it’s the best way to introduce chess to rookies for not being too pushing or with overwhelming knowledge. Antonio also responses any questions and doubts I have very quickly that shows his high respect to parents and students. I think my kids will have great time learning from Antonio and fall in love with chess as I hope.

Antonio has given my child two lessons. My daughter is a complete novice at chess, and he has given her the basics and she is enjoying her lessons with him. He is really prompt with replying and setting up future lessons, and really gentle and kind.

A kind and inspiring teacher

In preparation for an extended trip to Buenos Aires, I studied Spanish for two months with Antonio R, and arranged for two one-hour lessons each week. Mr. R is a wonderful teacher. He is bi-lingual, and is easily able to answer any question related to grammar, sentence construction, and idiomatic usages in both Spanish and in English. He is a kind and soft-spoken man, and is without a doubt the least threatening teacher with whom I have ever worked. He gently corrects mistakes, but at the same time offers praise for good work. Following my return to the United States in March of 2012, I plan to resume studying Spanish with Mr. R. I am eager to build upon the foundation which he has helped me to acquire.
