I began my academic career with clear goals and objectives, but with little assistance or guidance to help me navigate my way. Due to my tenacity I finished my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology prior to 21 years of age. Further, I finished my Master of Science in School Counseling Psychology 4 years later with a 3.98 GPA. Within 1 month of graduation I was promoted within LA County to Children's Social Worker II AND WITHIN 5 months I began teaching psychology at Antelope Valley College, where I taught for 46 consecutive semesters. I taught numerous transfer level and certificate approved classes in the field of psychology. Social Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Learning Theories, Health Psychology, Organizational and Industrial Psychology, and Addiction Studies are my particular areas of expertise. I also hold a minor in Sociology from Chapman University and a Domestic Violence Fellowship through UCLA's Schools of Social Work and Law.
Additionally I have worked in the public welfare system for more than 31 years, with 27 years in Child Welfare Services,
