I enrolled with Ms. Kara for my child’s Spanish tutoring and she is truly an amazing teacher. Extremely patient and good at teaching. She gets down to the student’s level to explain things and prompts them to speak about their interests and about themselves in Spanish which I feel is a very effective way to learn any new language. Not to mention all the tons of resources (both through books, apps & other online resources) that she has referred to assist with the learning. I have been working with Kara for about four months, and I LOVE working with her! I am an adult learner and wanted to learn Spanish for fun and for strengthening my cognitive abilities. I started Duolingo several months before I began to work with Kara, and although it is a great program, I knew I needed a one-on-one tutor to really improve. She does an excellent job teaching me the fundamentals such as verb tenses, parts of speech, and other language rules. We also work on my reading aloud, comprehension, and conversational skills each week. Kara gives me homework during the week to strengthen what we've worked on, which is very helpful. In our sessions, she does a good job allowing me time to figure things out and also correcting me in a helpful way as needed, and she also repeats her words in English as needed so I can understand and learn. I highly recommend Kara as a tutor for any language or subject!
