I’m a certified educator with 15+ years of experience teaching science and math to students in grades 6–12. I hold a VA teaching license in Biology (with Algebra endorsement) and a provisional license in Special Education. I’ve taught everything from AP Biology and AP Calculus to Earth Science and Pre-Algebra, but my true strength lies in how I teach—especially when students learn differently.

I specialize in working with students who have ADHD, dyslexia, autism, anxiety, and executive functioning challenges. Many have IEPs or 504s; others just need a different approach. I focus on clear instruction, structured routines, and personalized strategies that make learning stick. My sessions are calm, focused, and encouraging—designed to build both skills and confidence.

My background in neuroscience means I understand how the brain processes, remembers, and applies information. I use that knowledge to guide how I teach: breaking down complex ideas, reducing cognitive overload, and helping students develop learning habits that actually work. Whether we’re reviewing concepts, building new ones, or planning how to tackle a tough week, I help students feel capable and in control.

I also offer coaching in organization, planning, and time management—especially for middle and high school students juggling multiple demands. Some of my students meet with me weekly for academic support; others check in as needed before tests or deadlines. I’m flexible, responsive, and always student-centered.

Above all, I believe every student is capable—with the right support. I’ve helped anxious students become confident test-takers, struggling learners become honor roll students, and overwhelmed teens find systems that work for them. If your child needs someone who truly gets it, I’d love to help.
