In my classes, you will acquire Farsi language proficiency based on Interagency Language Roundtable scale levels (0+-5). Based on your goals, you will be able to reach: a) elementary proficiency, b) limited working proficiency, c) general working proficiency, d) advanced professional proficiency, e) functionally native proficiency. You will be able to express your opinions, defend a policy, engage in a heated cultural discussion, etc. You will read factual and non-factual articles. You will infer between and beyond the lines messages. I have prepared several language testing kits for government agencies including the Foreign Service Institute of Department of State and Defense. In my classes, via mock tests, you will gain the proficiency to take FSI tests, Oral Proficiency Test (OPI), Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT) and/or an academic exam. Your classroom setting is based on an adult learning theory where the instructor plays the role of a facilitator. You will take the main role, experiencing the language on your pace and direction. I have written all the lessons on ILR level. The lessons have audio, with interactive activities and tons of cultural awareness. I pledge if you give me a chance, you will not be disappointed.

Helpful and Well Prepared

Beeta was an excellent tutor. As someone who knew a good deal of the language already, she was able to help me zero in and assist me on my weaknesses while also drilling down on the basics. She was able to provide me with readings, videos and websites that would help me in the areas I needed it most. We had 7 sessions and if my work situation shifts back to something more Farsi focused I will know who to turn to.
