I have a Master’s Degree in Communication and have worked as a Public Speaking professor at several accredited colleges. I have extensive experience assisting professional clients in the DC area with English language pronunciation and composition, report and grant writing, proofreading of professional documents, editing presentation scripts, and coaching in presentation skills.
I have also worked as an English professor overseas, including teaching English Composition to college students in Ecuador and also tutoring in English language skills to a variety of ages (5-55) while living in South Korea. I volunteered for several years at an excellent International School while living with my family in Germany, mainly helping with reading skills in my daughter's elementary classroom. I tutored high schoolers in advanced English speaking and writing skills while living as a diplomat spouse in Panama from 2016-2021. I enjoy using hands-on and conversational teaching techniques to engage my students, and my pleasant personality helps to put students at ease while learning. I speak clearly and without any accent to ensure information is understood and easily learned for my students.
I excel at helping students of all ages improve their English writing skills, prepare for public speaking, or practice their conversational English. I have an approved background check and FBI fingerprint scan as an online tutor for Paper Education services, and I have previously held a US government secret clearance as a diplomat spouse working in the U.S. Embassy in Panama.
