Furthermore, I have a career in data engineering where I apply Python and SQL daily.
As far as my tutoring experiences, I have volunteered for math and science tutoring at the middle school level for 4 years, taught ACT prep at the high school level for 2 years, and I was even a teaching assistant for Python and SQL for 3 years in my undergrad. A bit more on the ACT, I achieved an overall score of 34. However, my science score was a perfect 36, and therefore I'm quite confident in my ability to improve your (or your child's) score by at least 5 points assuming your/their starting point is no greater than 29. Be it data analysis, experimental design, or interpretation of graphs and tables, I can teach the skills needed to earn an excellent score.
Lastly, I'm extremely patient and I try to structure lessons to each student's individual pace and learning style. In essence, I like to teach giving an understanding from both the top-down and bottom-up approach, with easy-to-understand analogies, and practical exercises. Also, I will frequently ask for and encourage student feedback at the end of each lesson to continue to tailor and improve for future lessons.
