¡Hola! I'm Alyssa (a-lee-sa). I fell in love with the Spanish language in the 10th grade, thanks to my incredible teacher. I majored in Spanish in college, and a few years later earned my Master's in Curriculum and Educational Leadership. I was a classroom teacher from 2007-2013, at which point I began tutoring online and in-person on a full-time basis. I returned to the classroom this year, but missed getting to work one-on-one with students in a tutoring capacity.

In addition to tutoring Spanish I also work with clients' executive functioning skills- organization, planning, task prioritization, etc. I have found that there is no "one size fits all" method when it comes to improving these skills, and I tailor this work to the individual.

I have devoted my career to helping students, just like the teacher that inspired me when I was in high school. My approach and methods considers the student as a whole, and we work to identify strengths and interests that will aide in bolstering areas in need of growth. My greatest joy is when clients feel they no longer need my tutoring services because they have mastered the skills needed to feel successful without my help.

-Experience analyzing psycho-educational testing in order to better support a student's individual needs
-Ability to help with homework, materials organization, assessment preparation, test-taking strategies, assignment prioritization, and time management skills
