Hi, I'm Blair!

I am a graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health, Texas A&M with a Master of Business Administration in Finance, and I am now studying biological sciences for my third degree. I discovered a love of teaching during my first degree, where I first started teaching students English as a new language. Fast forward a few years, I became an elementary teacher who specialized in Math and Science.

During my first year of teaching, many of my students began the school year below grade level in reading and math. In order to get caught up, my students' families asked me to offer tutoring opportunities. I began tutoring my students, and I now tutor in all of my favorite subjects, with students in elementary, middle, high school, all the way up to college. Most recently, my university chemistry department nominated me to tutor chemistry and organic chemistry, which has helped some of my classmates increase their grades by two letter grades!

No matter the age of my students, my teaching style has 3 basic principles: 1.) We will have fun 2.) We won't just memorize; we will understand. 3.) We will believe in ourselves, even when the material gets tough. You can do it! I use the word "we" because my students' success reflects my ability to teach - we are a team! I demonstrate the learning, we try together, then you succeed on your own. I will be there to guide, correct, and cheer you on. I understand that no student is the same: I always tailor lessons to your unique learning style.
