I am Jonathan! I graduated from Southwestern University with a writing-intensive Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and a minor in Psychology. I am in the process of earning my MEd in Elementary Education and a teaching certificate. While I am in the works of reaching the milestones I have set for myself, I am still well-experienced in the skill of teaching and tutoring.
My tutoring experience dates back as early as college when I tutored high-school students with special needs and learning disabilities. Soon after earning my undergraduate degree, I became an ESL teacher abroad for three years. During these years, I taught students ages 4-13 in three countries. The COVID-19 pandemic put an end to this rewarding job, but my penchant for teaching had already been cemented. Since I returned, I have tutored middle school and high school students in a mental health clinic, and I currently work as a teacher who teaches ELA with a focus on writing.
