I am Zack! I have been tutoring since my very first year at my university, and I love helping people learn, and learn how to learn. I worked in the Academic Assistance Resource Center (AARC) at my university's library where I tutored fellow students in Physics, Engineering, Astronomy, and Mathematics. I am Zack! I have been tutoring since my very first year at my university, and I love helping people learn, and learn how to learn. I worked in the Academic Assistance Resource Center (AARC) at my university's library where I tutored fellow students in Physics, Engineering, Astronomy, and Mathematics. I also worked as a Physics Laboratory Instructor in my academic department at Stephen F Austin State University, where I was responsible for maintaining the lab equipment and I taught students the experimental procedures that they would be performing, and how to take and analyze data from a laboratory setting. I also helped whenever concepts were unfamiliar or the students had a poor grasp of a concept being experimented in the lab.

My absolute favorite thing about tutoring is seeing the light bulb come on in my client's eyes whenever something has finally clicked! So, finally, I can't wait to meet you as a client and help you to the very best of my abilities!

I have taken every Calculus class that my university offered to undergraduate students and then proceeded to do an independent study with one of my professors on Tensor Calculus and never received lower than an A.

I majored in Physics and have tutored, taught, and done research in the field of both Solid-State Physics and Particle Physics (Neutrino Physics). I triple minored in Engineering, Mathematics, and Astronomy, where I took every single Engineering class that my school offered, at the time, and I have also taken every single Astronomy class my university offered.

Currently, I am a PhD Candidate and am working on my doctoral research at Fermilab (a national laboratory under the US Department of Energy) in Batavia, Illinois. I have finished all of my necessary course work and have taught physics labs at my graduate institution, too.

Approved Subjects

Algebra 2

Algebra 2

I earned a minor in mathematics from my undergraduate institution, including Algebra 2. I tutored over 5 years in mathematics where the subjects ranged from introductory to complex or advanced levels. I have helped people from the very basics to the more difficult subjects in mathematics and have had great results with my clients.
Astronomy

Astronomy

I have a minor in Astronomy, as well as having actually worked at our University's Observatory with various sized telescopes. Even a 41 inch! I also have previous experience tutoring the subject and enjoy looking at the stars from time to time.
Calculus

Calculus

As a researcher in particle physics, I work with complex mathematics every single day. I had my first course in Calculus in high school and have tons of experience using it in practical situations (whether that's the implementation in my analysis work, or using it for small programming hobbies). Physics is very intimately related to Calculus and you could not do physics without it.
Differential Equations

Differential Equations

I have both tutored and worked with Differential Equations before. I have even worked in laboratory settings using programs to analyze different Differential Equations that were modeling the systems we had created in the laboratory. I have taken two different courses on Differential Equations.
Linear Algebra

Linear Algebra

I have taken two different courses on Linear Algebra. I am a physicist and use Linear Algebra often in my approaches to both Matrix Mechanics and Group Theory in Quantum Mechanical systems. This subject is very near and dear to me and I have tutored this subject before at my university.
Physics

Physics

I majored in Physics and took over 80 hours in college credit in Physics coursework. I have also tutored for two years in college over Physics, Astronomy, Engineering, and Mathematics.
Precalculus

Precalculus

I earned a minor in mathematics from my undergraduate university, including Precalculus. I have over 5 years of experience tutoring in mathematics, and took a broad range of mathematics courses and never received below an A in them.

Wow! What a great teacher!

Zachary showed up early and was ready to teach! His knowledge and love of math is apparent...my son responded to his teaching technique and looks forward to working with Zachary weekly. Zachary not only instructs to the student but motivates the student to want to learn.

Excellent tutor

Zach was very patient and extremely knowledgeable. He was able to break down the problems we were working on so I could understand how to solve them step by step. He also worked at a speed that was appropriate for me and made sure I understood what he was doing. I really appreciated his help!

Clear and knowledgeable

Zachary taught the topics in honor precalculus. He helped my son to understand the concept better and catch up with what was overlooked in school’s class. We are happy to have Zachary as our tutor.
