Hello! My name is Priyank, and I recently graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Biology through the Honors College. I graduated summa cum laude with a perfect 4.0 GPA, having completed a wide range of courses—including general biology, general chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, genetics, cell biology, and biochemistry—several of which I took for honors credit. These are also the subjects I tutored extensively during my time at UNT, helping students succeed both in foundational science courses and more advanced topics.
For two years, I worked as a Lead Tutor at the UNT Learning Center, where I supported primarily college students in one-on-one sessions. I also served as a Supplemental Instructor for a full semester, gaining valuable experience leading group sessions and fostering collaborative learning environments. In 2025, I was honored to receive the “Lead Tutor of the Year” award, which meant a lot to me because tutoring was never just a job—it was something I genuinely cared about.
My tutoring style was structured yet adaptive. I used the student’s course materials and instructor presentations to stay within scope but drew from my own knowledge to fill in conceptual gaps and simplify complex topics. I often used analogies, rhetorical questions, diagrams, and real-world examples to make abstract concepts relatable. I guided students through practice problems in subjects like physics and chemistry, encouraging them to break down questions, recognize patterns, and develop problem-solving strategies. Whether a question looked overwhelming or deceptively simple, I helped students approach it with clarity and confidence. Although most of my experience has been with college students, I’m more than happy to work with high school students as well, especially those preparing for advanced coursework or STEM majors in college.
