I specialize in teaching/tutoring various languages to students looking to learn a new language. I specialize in English, Spanish, and Russian, and I am certified to teach these languages.

I also have experience tutoring a wide variety of school subjects, such as the ones you see in my profile. I have tutored English and Writing to various grades and age groups, and I loved these subjects while in school. I have an Associate's degree in Applied Science, and with that, I have a wide range of general computer knowledge, along with knowledge of some more intricate aspects of technology. I have a deep love of learning. For that reason, I strongly want to encourage and support the education and learning of other students. I am patient and very understanding, and I am very involved and hardworking. I know learning something new can be frustrating, but my goal is to help my students enjoy the challenge. I specifically work to find methods that work to fit my students' needs because I do not believe in cookie-cutter education. I have several years experience tutoring students of varying grades in English. I have helped them with grammar and reading comprehension, along with the writing process. Concerning English high school and college classes, I have always excelled in this area. I took AP English while in high school, and I had high grades in English and Writing while in college, both in the class itself, and for my entrance TSI exams.

I grew up around the Deaf/HH community and grew up using ASL. I am aware of the specific needs that d/Deaf and HH students may have when it comes to their education. I am equipped and very comfortable teaching and tutoring d/Deaf/Hard of Hearing students, and while I know ASL and can teach using it, I understand that not all d/Deaf/HH know Sign Language, and I am familiar with how to adjust my communication style in order to accommodate the needs of the individual that I am teaching/tutoring.

I myself grew up signing and around the d/Deaf/Hard of Hearing community and am familiar with the cultural aspects of ASL. I use teaching methods that imitate the natural language acquisition process that children go through in order to help my students naturally achieve their goal of smoothly and fluently using ASL.
