Hello there! My name is Lakshay Yadav, and I am an incoming freshman at UT Austin for Mechanical Engineering!
I believe in questioning everything. This love for questioning drove me to an increasing amount of complex classes, as these classes were able to answer my questions to a fuller extent. In my opinion, there are no stupid questions, and I implement that in not only my learning, but also my teaching methods! At any time my students can feel free to interrupt and ask me, because I believe in learning through interaction and practical questions rather than a lecture format. While learning various high school subjects, I utilized this same mentality to build in-depth notes explaining every concept down to the fundamental level. As a result, I also gained the skill of being able to explain a complex subject in a fundamental manner, then building off that understanding into other topics!
My goal through tutoring your student is to help them gain an understanding of a concept to such a degree that they can apply it anywhere, and can explain the concept to their peers as well.
I graduated at #7 out of my class of 889 while maintaining a 4.0 unweighted GPA throughout high school, providing me with experience with academic rigor and excellence. I took complex classes ranging from AP Physics 2, Multivariable Calculus, to Data Structures, and scored 5s on multiple AP exams such as AP Physics C: Mechanics, Calculus AP & BC, and Computer Science A. Additionally, I obtained a 790 reading and 780 math in the SAT, thus hopefully providing me with sufficient qualifications to tutor your student.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out for any questions or to schedule a lesson! :)
