I have previous tutoring experience as a college student athlete tutor at Penn State University, as a private tutor in Upper St. Clair School District, and I am a guest lecturer at local universities including Carnegie Mellon and University of Pittsburgh. I want to be a tutor for the pleasure of giving back to society, to maintain my knowledge in relevant subjects, and because I love to teach others.
I've been working as an equity research analyst covering various industries over the course of my career which has allowed me to maintain a high level of knowledge in all business-related fields and all CFA exam subjects. I also do a lot of reading and writing in my job which has kept my reading and writing skills sharp. My hobbies include distance running, weight training, water sports, skiing, reading, playing with my 3 kids, and commercial real estate investment.

My academic and professional background make me well-qualified to tutor in math, finance, CFA, or business. I've passed CFA levels 1 through 3, taken various finance, economics, accounting, and business classes in undergraduate and graduate school. I have used Microsoft Excel on a daily basis in my career for over 20 years, so I'm well versed in that program.

I have a strong academic and professional background and, most importantly, I want to give back to society while staying sharp in relevant subjects. I love to teach and look forward to new tutoring experiences.

I build valuation models using company financial statements, evaluate company financial performance, interpret accounting adjustments and rules, and have implemented options strategies. Darren is the best tutor Iv worked with on Wyzant. I have worked with several ones but none were of his level. Very Knowledgeable , explains clearly , and has patience when explaining the material.
