Hi! My name is Joshua, and I am a Philosophy PhD student. My master's is in Ancient Greek and Roman Philosophy from the University of Cambridge and my undergraduate degree is in Philosophy, Classics, and Literature from the University of Chicago. In my PhD, I work on ancient Greek theories of mind, and I am also interested in philosophy of science.

I have been teaching philosophy for the past 6 years at the university level at Rutgers, then University of Pittsburgh, and, here, I am able to teach philosophy, Classics, ancient Greek and Latin languages, test preparation, writing, and most academic subjects. As a university teacher, I have consistently received reviews in the top tier and, in my department, I have been asked to be an undergraduate student mentor by the most students. For example, one university student wrote in a teaching evaluation:

"I've been here for three years and Joshua's the best, kindest teacher I've ever had."

I am passionate about learning for learning's sake, and I would love to help instill that love in my students as well as improve their critical thinking and writing skills on any topic. I am excited to work with students, and I look forward to meeting you!
