As a current MD-PhD student at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, I bring a diverse academic and research background to my tutoring practice. My journey began with a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston College, where I double-majored in Mathematics and Biology. During my undergraduate years, I discovered my passion for teaching while tutoring college freshman and sophomore students in mathematics, chemistry, and biology. I’ve also tutored elementary school students in reading, math, and writing. I worked through many problem sets with students challenging them to meet their potential. I make sure students have a solid foundation before building up to more complex topics.

Later, I furthered my education by earning a Master's in Computer Science from Northeastern University and spent four years conducting research in Pharmacoepidemiology at Brigham and Women's Hospital. During this time, I trained many research assistants to perform tasks in R programming, biostatistics, and epidemiology. My academic achievements include a 98th percentile MCAT score of 521, which secured my acceptance into multiple MD-PhD programs. I believe in paying it forward and hope to create an environment for students to feel safe making mistakes in tutoring sessions, so they don’t make the same mistakes on their big test day.

In my tutoring approach, I prioritize creating a supportive and collaborative learning environment tailored to each student's needs. Drawing from my extensive academic and research experience, I employ a multifaceted approach that integrates theoretical concepts with real-world applications. Whether it's unraveling complex mathematical equations, elucidating biological processes, or exploring the intricacies of chemistry, I am dedicated to empowering students to excel academically and develop critical thinking skills that extend beyond the classroom. I hope to empower students with the skills to follow their dreams!

MCAT

MCAT

As a current medical student in a top-ranked program, I know how hard you have to work to get here. I studied hard to get a 521 (98th percentile) on my MCAT and hope to give students the skills they need to succeed on the MCAT and beyond! I can help work through tough MCAT practice questions and set up study schedules that will optimize your time leading up to test day. I'll share study tips/tools and help you build good study habits that I've continued to use to pass Step 1 and our medical school exams!
