Hello there! My name is Henry and I specialize in tutoring middle school and high school students. I am particularly well-versed in tutoring for the SAT as well as difficult AP classes, but I am not limited to that! I scored a 1540 on the SAT including a 790 in math. I passed 7 AP classes with a score of 5 in each including Calculus AB and BC, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, US History, English Language and Composition, and Physics I.
I have been active tutoring students my age and several years younger for the last 4 years. I have tutored in both 1-on-1 and group settings, as well as online and in-person.
My approach to tutoring is straightforward. I like to spend time explaining concepts as well as how to solve problems. I especially like to spend a lot of time working through practice problems with students, as these are what they encounter on tests. We may do a few together, then they can do some on their own as I answer questions or correct mistakes along the way. I always make sure to keep the tutoring environment light-hearted and relaxed. After all, we learn better that way!
