As a high school senior, I was accepted to all 9 schools I applied to, including Princeton, Yale, University of Pennsylvania, and Brown University. As someone who recently graduated herself, I know firsthand how nerve-wracking (and difficult!) the college admissions process can be. It also means I know how vital the essays are in order to present yourself to colleges and admissions officers. The essays offer an opportunity for colleges to get to know you as a person, beyond numbers and statistics. In addition to your interests and background, they can also display a sense of maturity, growth, and passion. HOW you write your essays and present yourself matter just as much, if not more, than what you write about. Because of my experiences, I want to help other students develop their own voices. 

Throughout high school, I've always helped friends and classmates in editing their work, whether for school, college, or work, and had the joy of seeing them discover and craft their stories. Before graduating, I served as the co-editor-in-chief of my award-winning high school newspaper. My writing has been nationally recognized by multiple journalistic and artistic organizations, including the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, National YoungArts Foundation, National Scholastic Press Association, the Columbia Student Press Association, and the Women's Federation of Journalists.

I believe that the best teaching happens when both students and teachers develop a personal connection and trust within one another. Because of this, I help students not only find what they want to write about, but how they'll write it. I offer advice and consultation on general college essays, supplemental essays, and extracurricular and additional information sections. Through open communication, I hope to help students and their families through the college admissions process.

  • Rate details: I charge $45 for students in middle/elementary school on writing and reading. If a student misses an appointment without advanced notice and does not reschedule, I charge a cancellation rate of $35.
