Hi there! I’m Jasmine, and I’m an Honors Pre-med Neuroscience Major with a Sociology Minor at The Ohio State University. I am a junior, and some of the courses I’ve taken include Neuroscience, Honors Biology, Honors General Chemistry, Honors Organic Chemistry, Honors Psychology, Physiology, etc. I do have college credit for English and math (Calculus 1) as well, so I am more than willing to assist with a variety of subjects. I am a visual learner, so I do incorporate a lot of visual elements in my explanations, as well as analogies/phrases, to help remember difficult concepts or provide clarity
Outside of school, I enjoy playing flute, lifting weights, reading, and hanging out with friends! I have done private lessons for flute for 2 years, but I am moving toward providing lessons in academics. I also tutored middle schoolers on a variety of subjects during my time in high school. While tutoring, I've recognized how crucial it is for students to feel comfortable asking questions. I’ve been occasionally insecure asking questions, so I will do my absolute best to make sure all of my students feel comfortable asking me anything! I understand how it feels when you think you’re asking a dumb question, so I strive to ensure nobody ever feels that way around me :). I also am flexible when it comes to teaching, meaning if a certain study tool is not working for you, or if you have a request, I will do my best to meet your needs.
I understand unprecedented situations occur at times, so as long as you provide a 2-hour notice, we can reschedule and figure out how to proceed. Even if it’s less than 2 hours, I will be understanding, assuming it’s not repeated continuously. If you have any questions or would like further information, please feel free to reach out!
