Adobe InDesign has become one of the most powerful layout programs since QuarkXpress. InDesign has many great tools that make it easy to create stunning, exciting layouts and spreads. InDesign also integrates very well with the other Adobe software, making it easy to go back and forth between programs. As a designer, I have created catalog pages, advertisements, menus and newspaper layouts using InDesign. As a designer, drawing has been the best way for me to get my ideas ready for the computer. As a fine artist, it has helped me with my creative expression and composition. Drawing is an important part in developing art. There are many techniques and materials you can use to create the results you want. From thumbnail sketches to storyboard sketches, drawing is vital for the communication between the artist, Art Director or viewer. I can assist my students with many different styles and techniques. Some students may also need help preparing a portfolio for art school, which involves keeping a sketchbook, still life drawings, observational drawings, etc.

I am a drum teacher with over 20 Years experience and many years playing in bands and clubs. I am very enthusiastic, patient, and my lessons are fun with a lot of variety. I have taught many students in different age groups, ranging from ages 9-40. I love to teach and help students develop their skills and appreciation of music. Some of the things covered in my lessons are: Rudiments, Reading, Drum Set, Listening, General Music and Music History. I was also in the 1998 April issue of The Modern Drummer in the "Up & Coming" section.

I have been a professional Graphic Designer for over 15 years. I have designed packaging, illustrations, flyers, business cards, letterhead, posters and more. I have worked in the retail, advertising and editorial industry. As a Graphic Design teacher, my lessons focus on type, layout, color, technical skills and production. Besides being creative, many employers look for speed and accuracy when working on projects. While learning to be better Graphic Designers, students also gain more knowledge about software they are using.

I have been using Apple computers since the early 90's when there was 2 mb of RAM. Apple has the most sophisticated operating system in the world and also the most user friendly system. I am still using Apple to this day and still happy. They are high quality products, and while they may cost a lot upfront, they last forever! I have a lot of experience with all the operating systems, since I use them everyday. Besides graphic design applications, I am very well versed in the Apple OS, and I am always trying to help my co-workers with any troubleshooting they may need. It's a lot of fun and there's always something new.
