Hi! I’m Ariyan, a recent graduate of Princeton University, where I earned my B.S.E. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, with minors in Statistics & Machine Learning and Applications of Computing. I’ve worked with students across all levels—middle school to college—and specialize in math, physics, computer science, standardized test prep, and college application coaching.
While at Princeton, I served as a teaching assistant for two undergraduate engineering courses, where I regularly supported 20–25 students during office hours. I helped assess their understanding of lab material, explained signal processing concepts, and debugged both MATLAB and Python code. Many of these students were working through their first coding experiences, so I made sure to meet them where they were, building their skills and confidence at the same time.
My tutoring style is direct, engaging, and results-oriented. I focus on the specific weak areas students struggle with, so we can maximize time efficiency and make real progress. I typically give a brief explanation of the topic, followed by a series of guided practice problems to reinforce understanding. Along the way, I ask questions that help students think critically and actively engage with the material. Between sessions, I often share helpful online resources so students can review and build mastery on their own time. Whether we're prepping for the SAT, writing a Common App essay, or reviewing calculus or Python, I tailor my approach to each student's needs and learning style.
With a 1590 SAT, 34 ACT, and 5s on over 10 AP exams, I know what it takes to succeed on standardized tests and in challenging coursework—and I love helping students get there too. If you’re looking for an approachable tutor who combines technical depth with clarity and support, I’d be excited to work with you!
