Hi there! I’m Khushi - a passionate and patient STEM tutor who believes that true understanding comes from curiosity, not memorization. I recently graduated with a BS in Neuroscience and a minor in CS from UCLA and have a strong academic foundation in mathematics and science having taken advanced courses in calculus, statistics, quantitative reasoning and health sciences. My interest in tutoring began when I became a Learning Assistant for Calculus I, where I helped college students strengthen their grasp of key concepts like limits, derivatives, and integrals and devised plans to make learning better and more fun.

As a learning assistant, I provided one-on-one and small group support during class and led weekly review sessions focused on both problem-solving strategies and conceptual understanding. My students often appreciated that I explained ideas in multiple ways — visually, verbally, and step-by-step — until they found the approach that worked best for them. Many mentioned that my calm and encouraging teaching style made them feel more confident in tackling difficult problems.

I design my sessions to be interactive and tailored to each student’s goals. I start by identifying where they’re getting stuck, then break down the material into clear, digestible parts. Whether we’re reviewing homework, preparing for an exam, or strengthening foundational skills, my goal is to help students see why the math works, not just how. I want each session to build confidence and independence, so students leave feeling capable and motivated.
