Dear Student,
Math and science may seem challenging, but with the right guidance, they can become an exciting journey of discovery! I’ve spent the past several years on a scientific odyssey at Columbia University in New York, where I earned my Bachelor’s in Applied Mathematics and am now pursuing a Master’s in Earth and Environmental Engineering. My expertise spans a broad range, including elementary math, algebra, geometry, calculus, mathematical modeling, computing, catalytic chemistry, carbon management, water system management, and more.
With over six years of experience teaching in both private and classroom settings, I specialize in Mathematics and Environmental Science. My approach is centered around sharing my passion and highlighting the real-world applications of the subjects we explore. I believe in the power of simplicity, repetition, and conviction, ensuring that every lesson fosters both understanding and curiosity.
Professionally, I've had the privilege of working as a Research Engineer at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, contributing to Sustainable Global Banking at HSBC Securities, and conducting research at Columbia’s Earth Engineering Center. I use these experiences to show students how what they learn in the classroom can drive meaningful change in the world.
I look forward to embarking on this journey with you!
Best,
Angeliki
