Hello. I have been in love with science and math since I was in high school. I was the kid in school that everyone came to when they were stuck on a problem.
I particularly enjoyed physics and math. I decided to pursue physics and mathematics in college and finished with a BS in Physics, a BS in Mathematics Education (grades 7-12) and an MS in Physics Education at Buffalo State College. While in college I helped establish a tutoring center and I was a tutor myself.

I am trained as a modeling teacher, a technique pioneered by ASU. Modeling is "a guided-inquiry approach to teaching science that organizes instruction around a coherent storyline of model development (taken from American Modeling Teachers Association website)." I give guidance but the students must be able to describe their own knowledge verbally, mathematically and by journaling their ideas. This approach allows students to become self-actualized learners who seek knowledge on their own.
I've tutored dozens of students from an array of backgrounds and abilities. Most become A+ students.
