While I have always had a knack for studying, learning, memorizing, and understanding new concepts, I have only shared that with others for the past 2 years or so. Fitness and the sciences are definitely my strong suit, but I have always performed well in all of my classes, especially when it came to learning new material. As a child, growing up with ADHD prevented me from spending hours focusing on one subject, so I learned to adapt and teach myself in inventive and associative ways. I have used these skills to help teach fellow students, and I am confident in my abilities to help students and professionals not only learn terms and definitions, but grasp concepts, make connections, and retain information.
My favorite part about teaching and training is the connection aspect. It's so much easier to teach (and learn) when I'm working with someone that I can connect to on a personal level. It's fine to just be the person who got you an A in that math class or who helped you lose 10 pounds, but I love when my clients keep in touch with me long after the goals are accomplished because of the relationship that we founded.
