Bio

I'm Christopher G, graduate of the University of Nevada Las Vegas with a degree in Education. My mainstay is English, though I’ve worked in various classes teaching the Core Curriculum for the Nevada State Standards and have been teaching various secondary lessons under Math, Science, English, Study Skills, and Art for the past 3 years. I'm Christopher G, graduate of the University of Nevada Las Vegas with a degree in Education. My mainstay is English, though I’ve worked in various classes teaching the Core Curriculum for the Nevada State Standards and have been teaching various secondary lessons under Math, Science, English, Study Skills, and Art for the past 3 years. I've taught mainly Middle to High school students in the classroom, as my skills had me across the grade levels. I also have experience in tutoring as a member of the Boys and Girls Club staff previously, as they were a great community to not only learn from but to give back with my services.

I've tutored 5-18 year old members of the Boys and Girls Club in the Common Core of English, Math, Science, and Social Studies, while also programmed Digital Literacy and Healthy habits into their small group courses. I've Taught 6-12 grade students in the Clark County School District in the classroom setting, teaching Math 7, Social Studies 8, and English 6 as my main courses. During my time with Social Studies, I've cross collaborated with other classes to mesh their final into their end of year project that encompassed Social Studies, Math, and English. That was my first cross classroom project, but it enriched me all the same.

I feel I'm well-rounded for whatever needs need to be met and will do my best to ensure you receive the best tutoring. I am also rounding myself out with a variety of skills and certifications that I will take into our tutoring sessions. As a Forever Learner, I'm taking classes to improve upon my craft, most recently, I'm taking my TESOL certification, to better myself as a teacher.

I've been in the independent industry for 3 years, studying storyboarding. I've worked with other projects, being credited as a producer on the movie The World Divides. Most of my work in storyboarding involves acting out scenes with those I'm partnered with to showcase what emotions, expressions, and body motions are set in the scene. We also go through the scripts, do live reads and act out how the scene plays before we work storyboards, and try to stay true to form, so as to have a complete understanding of who we're going to be drawing.

In 2 of those years, there's been focus on the site ThinkCerca and their argumentative essay assignments where students have to answer prompts with reasonings, that I've competently taught to middle schoolers.
