New Jersey Institute of Technology (MBA)
I am a graduate of the New Jersey Institute of Technology and hold a B.S. in Telecommunications Management Technology with an M.B.A. in Management Information Systems. As a manager in the Telecommunications industry, I am my team's resident presentation editor and math checker. For as long as I can remember I've had a love of books, learning, math, and science. In my spare time, I find no greater joy than to share my love of knowledge as a means to help others succeed.
All this being said, I practice the skills I learned at my prestigious engineering alma mater by tutoring middle school, high school, and college students in my spare time. Over the years, I've always helped my 14-year-old daughter succeed at her studies by teaching her the value of thinking outside the box, taking into account all the data that she is given to solve a problem, and paying close attention to detail. I've taken that approach and extended it to my tutees. I love seeing my students' confidence increase from a job well done and good test grades.
Throughout my college career, I was exposed to algebra, probability and statistics, decision support systems, and data analysis to name a few. My 3.9 M.B.A. GPA speaks to how well I am qualified in knowledge sharing.

Joselyn is wonderful at keeping us abreast of my daughter's progress - specific subject areas covered, and comments on her performance. She is also great with communicating about scheduling. My daughter is doing very well with Joselyn's assistance.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I use Algebra in my daily life. From calculating how to allocate my retirement savings to figuring out the best retail deals when I'm making a purchase. Algebra can help you make tough decisions and is a subject that I feel is an asset.
I have tutored my 14-year-old daughter in every subject and hold an MBA. So Elementary math comes easy to me and is a subject I enjoy teaching.
I love shapes and formulas. Therefore, I have a deep love for Geometry.
