With a bachelor’s and master’s in mechanical engineering, and as a current PhD student, I’ve spent my career applying math and problem-solving skills across research, teaching, and real-world contexts. Beyond math, I help students and adult learners tackle reasoning, writing, and test-prep challenges, making complex ideas approachable, relevant, and clear.

I’ve taught a wide range of students, from middle and high schoolers to adults in college. I was a teaching assistant for an engineering dynamics course of 80+ students and have taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and SAT math prep to students aged 13–17. Currently, I teach college-level probability, statistics, and college algebra with trigonometry, and previously taught quantitative reasoning. My students range in age from 16 to 60, and this breadth of experience has helped me tailor lessons to each student’s skill level, goals, and learning style.

I use technology to enhance learning, including iPads for notes, slides, and recordings, while also enjoying the whiteboard for interactive problem solving. My approach guides students from initial familiarity to understanding, mastery, and, when appropriate, fluency for standardized tests. I strive to connect concepts to real-life applications, work through fundamentals and practice problems, and challenge students with advanced questions to build clarity, confidence, and results. For exam preparation, I focus on strategies that enhance speed, accuracy, and self-assurance under pressure. My goal is simple: learning with Vic should feel approachable, productive, and empowering, so every student can achieve their best outcomes.
