I have seven years of experience tutoring students in various subjects including the general sciences, dentistry, and student mentoring. I've studied at Harvard University, Stony Brook University, and Adelphi University with respective degrees of Doctor of Dental Surgery, Master's in Sustainability and Bachelor's in Environmental Science.

My skill set also includes comprehensive student coaching and mentoring; my students will leave with an understanding of how to learn on their own when they need to - what resources to use and where to find them. Learning is more than just memorizing the facts for an exam, and I'm here to help students understand how to study in the most effective manner.

My educational background includes a bachelor's degree from Adelphi University (3.96 GPA; summa cum laude), a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Stony Brook University, and Master's degree from Harvard University. I studied Environmental Science in undergrad, sustainability at Harvard, and Dentistry at SBU. I currently am focusing on sustainable building design, zero energy buildings and passivehouse technology, but for years I've studied topics such as microbiology and the health sciences.

I've been a avid runner for over a decade. I ran throughout high school, college, and dental school. I was a school-record holder in college in multiple events and produced a number of high-ranking times in my post-collegiate career. I competed in the Fifth Ave. Mile - a road race - and finished in 4 minutes and 12 seconds. At Boston University, I completed 1200m in 3 minutes and 3 seconds. I am a proponent for weight training, and the speed-endurance balance which is crucial in the middle distances.

Building a solid foundation now for the future is the main focus when learning, and I base my teachings on that very concept.
