Hi! My name is Samoane, and I hold a CRLA Master Tutor certificate. Tutoring is my greatest passion and I love instilling confidence in my students, so they can approach any writing assignment with ease. I have tutored for three years, and taught ENG 101/201 for two and a half.

Hi! My name is Samoane, and I hold a CRLA Master Tutor certificate. Tutoring is my greatest passion and I love instilling confidence in my students, so they can approach any writing assignment with ease. I have tutored for three years, and taught ENG 101/201 for two and a half.

I obtained a MA and BA in English from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where I built my teaching and tutoring portfolio. Currently, I work as a grant writer for a local nonprofit, but I have applied my writing skills to marketing communications and program management as well! I love all things writing, and I have worked with students across different disciplines and learning styles using my adaptive, scaffolded approach to tutoring. I can help you enhance your grammar, formatting, organization, vocabulary, and composition skills. My specialty is College-level English Composition, but I am more than comfortable working with students in other majors, and students outside of higher education. Samoane helped me during our initial session become more comfortable and informative about the transcription and coding process for interviews that I will need transcribed and coded for my dissertation soon.
