I am currently a graduate student at Colorado State University in the statistics PhD program, with a BS in mathematics and an MS in statistics. I have been tutoring mathematics and statistics for the over a decade and have experience working with both undergraduate and graduate students. I have worked as a teaching assistant, university tutor, and statistical consultant.

I enjoy deciphering statistics and R programming to students who have not quite cracked the code! I have found through my tutoring experience that the singular way in which a professor presents material may not always click with every student. I view my role as a tutor to function as a guide through a student's journey. I interpret or translate what is taught in the classroom into digestible information by explaining different approaches to solving a problem.

I offer 1-2 hour sessions online via video chat platform of choice. I require sessions to be scheduled 24 hours in advance, and sessions cancelled within 24 hours of the session are subject to charge. I only communicate with clients through Wyzant, so if you would like to speak to me before you schedule your first session, I offer a FREE 15 minute consultation using Whiteboard. Before our first session, I will ask for your syllabus and the assignment or topic you want to cover. I will not work on any graded material. I am not a teacher and do not have my own material. Therefore, I will also ask that you send me any notes relevant to the assignment. I take the time to read your textbook and notes you send me to best help you learn the material tailored to your course. For more details on my policies, I will send you a document of my policies through Wyzant messaging before you schedule a session.

If you would like a guide on your journey through statistics, or R programming, please reach out to me to learn more about my tutoring. I want to be as flexible as possible to meet your needs because my main priority is your comprehension and love for stats!

Amazing Tutor

I had Danielle over the summer for Stats 201. I met with her online several times a week and she was very knowledgeable and helpful. she has previous experience teaching this course, which allows for a deep understanding of the course material to be very helpful. she also assisted in helping me with part of the homework I would struggle with, going over the textbook, and even helping me make study guides. If you need help with Stats then she is a great tutor.

I had Danielle help me in my Psych Stats class and she was very patient with me as I am a very slow learner and I’m grateful for all her help. I highly recommend her to anyone and everyone!!

Knowledgeable, patient and thorough

Danielle helped me with an R assignment for my political numbers course and she was so helpful!! She prepared for the lesson using my class's materials and made everything seem so easy. I was nervous because before this session I was so confused but Danielle worked at my pace. Seriously a game changer!

Harvard Gov50 Review

Danielle helped me so much by teaching me all the concepts I needed to learn for my mid term! She really made sure I understood all of the material for my course and provided great explanations to make difficult problems easier. Could not recommend her enough!

Very effective tutor for R!!!!

Danielle was an excellent communicator in breaking down, line by line, what the R code was doing that I had provided before the session. Along with helping me understand what the code was doing, and how it was doing it, she helped me modify it to avoid unneeded steps and make it more user friendly. I highly recommend Danielle for tutoring in R!

Detailed and knowledgeable Tutor

Danielle has helped me with R programming, and I was able to accomplish a better grade on my assignments. She teaches the materials very clear and thoroughly. Danielle doesn’t give out the answers right away but questions me to the extend of letting me think more of the concepts. I highly recommend Danielle as a tutor on any course materials! She is great :)

Super knowledgeable and professional

Danielle helped me learn R in a very practical and professional way. She reviews the details, asks questions, and pushes the student to understand. An excellent and positive tutor who is one of the best I have encountered anywhere.

Danielle was very knowledgeable of the material I was having a hard time comprehending in class. She was engaging and goes the extra mile. Highly recommended!!

We worked on z scores, which is the number of standard deviations away from the mean, use to go to the standard normal table, the numbers in the table corresponding with a z score represent the probability less than that z score. You can start with an x value, convert to a z value, and find the probability less than it, or you can start with a probability, find the z score, and covert to the x value.
