About David

I am a physics professor with over twenty-five years of college and university teaching experience. I have predominately taught algebra based and calculus based physics classes. These types of classes are typically titled "College Physics," "General Physics," "Engineering Physics," or "Physics for Science and Engineering." I have also taught college math classes.

I also do physics reviews for professional school admittance tests. These tests are often required for scientific, medical, or engineering related fields of study.

I charge only for the time spent tutoring, never for gas or travel time. Tutoring sessions must be a minimum of one hour.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Chess

I was in the Chess Club throughout school, and was the President of the Chess Club my senior year. I participated in many tournaments, and won trophies as a result.

Linear Algebra

Linear algebra involves working with, vectors, vector spaces, transformations, matrices, and eigenvalues. As a physicist, I have used linear algebra in various applications.

MCAT

I am a physics professor with over twenty-five years of college and university teaching experience. I have predominately taught algebra-based physics classes. These are the classes that pre-med students take to prepare themselves for the physics portion of the MCAT.

Physics

I am a physics professor with over twenty-five years of college and university teaching experience. I have taught physics classes at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Johnson County Community College, Longview College, Avila University, Rockhurst University, and the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg.

Some of the texts that I have used are Cutnell & Johnson, Halliday & Resnick, Serway, and Wilson.

Great Tutor

David is extremely helpful and walks you through every step so you can clearly understand. Concepts that are just not sinking in are his specialty. I highly recommend him if you are struggling with Algebra, Physics, or the like. The light bulb will go off and you'll feel like you really understand the material.
