I am a scientist, a stem cell and molecular biologist with experience in the biotech industry and academia.
I am interested in training the next generation of scientists, especially in biology and chemistry.
I earned a BS in Biology and Neuroscience and MS in Biology from Brandeis University with highest honors.
Currently I am a biomedical researcher based in the twin cities area with 5+ years of experience in multiple fields including stem cell biology, biomaterials, cancer and genetics.

I started tutoring others in math in elementary school and have loved teaching since then.
I have taught in two preschools, been a docent at a science museum (Exploratorium in San Francisco), taught middle schoolers and high schoolers in math, physics, English and Hebrew (Summerbridge and LearnToBe tutoring programs, Congregation Beth Sholom for Hebrew).
Recently, I have mentored other younger scientists and interns and taught Hebrew to adults.
I have mostly mentored students of all ages in one-on-one tutoring but have also acted as a teaching assistant in multiple classroom settings and given lessons to larger groups.

My tutoring philosophy is to learn first about the student and their needs and cater my lessons to their gaps in knowledge. I want my lessons to be fun but also efficient and packed with learning.
Whenever possible, I try to guide my students towards a solution and also ensure mastery of more basic concepts through repetition before building to more advanced ones.
I am passionate about science and learning in general and want to help others learn to enjoy it!
