Hello! My name is Giuseppina, and I'm an experienced Italian language instructor.
I was born and raised in Puglia, Italy, and after earning a degree in Foreign Languages and Literature, I had the opportunity to live and work in Germany and China. I currently live in Michigan with my husband and my dog and I'm a full time tutor.

After working as a course manager for a Language Academy in Stuttgart (Germany), three years ago I obtained my Cedils Certification that qualifies me to teach Italian to foreigners and since then I have been teaching Italian to learners of all levels.

I have worked with professionals from the medical, architecture, and design fields who needed to learn Italian for work, as well as with beginners passionate about Italian art and music.

I have learned several foreign languages myself ( French, German, Spanish) so I'm well aware of the difficulties my students face when studying Italian and know the most effective method and strategies to help them succeed.
I specialize in teaching with a focus on real life communication. I believe that using authentic materials from everyday life makes learning more effective, but I also believe in the importance of grammar and good pronunciation which I try to teach in a fun and practical way. From day one, you will start practicing the language in a practical and engaging way. I incorporate all language skills-listening, reading, speaking and writing- into my lessons, while also integrating Italian culture. Above all I will strictly focus on your goals and tailor each class according to your needs.
