Bio

I'm a certified teacher in Social Studies Grades 6-12. I have taught for 3+ years in the classroom, grades 7-9 and subjects ranging from math to history. I enjoy working with young people and learning alongside them in addition to coaching, teaching and facilitating their education.

I've taught a class of Pre-Algebra and Algebra students.

I've taught classes in local state history, U.S. History and World History.

I played Lacrosse in high school and went on to found a men's college lacrosse club at Davidson. I was both the president of the club and captain of the team.

I am a certified (Grade 8) referee with USSF (United States Soccer Federation). I have played soccer all of my life and most recently captained an adult men's team while also serving as its treasurer and league representative.

I recently took two Praxis exams and had to navigate the ends and outs of registering, studying, and taking a Praxis exam, as well as ensuring my results were received by the necessary professional parties. I scored a 186 and 196 respectively, where only a 150 out of 200 was needed to pass. I was awarded a Praxis "ETS Recognition of Excellence" Award for my performance on the Social Studies: Content Knowledge Exam for scoring in the top 2 percentile.
