My name is Easton J. I am excited to have the opportunity to tutor you. A little about me: I am a dedicated professional with a passion for education and mentorship. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences from Brigham Young University–Idaho, where I graduated summa cum laude. During my undergraduate years, I served as a tutor in microbiology, inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, and biochemistry, guiding students to excel in these challenging subjects through clear, engaging instruction. I used a myriad of techniques to teach, based on my students' preferences. I have done everything from drawing detailed pictures to creating flow charts, practice quizzes, and even extensive flashcard decks to help them learn and master the material. Just like those students, I am sure I can help you succeed as well.
After completing my undergraduate studies, I pursued a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the University of Utah. During this time, I successfully studied for and achieved a high score on the challenging CBSE. I am currently a resident in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Michigan, where I am also earning my MD. This advanced training gives me a deep understanding of the material. In addition to my academic and professional pursuits, I am fluent in Spanish, having spent two years in Colombia before my undergraduate studies.
I am committed to helping students achieve their academic goals with confidence and clarity. I do this by listening to and working with each student to understand how they learn best and then incorporating this into their tutoring sessions. I am confident that, as we talk during sessions, I can find different ways to teach so you can learn effectively.
