Hello, My name is Jacob and I am a life-long learner. I have taught in the public school system, and on the college level as an adjunct professor. I have worked with both K-12 grade students, as well as, Adult Basic Education (ABE) students. Additionally, I have worked as a tutor for many years with all age groups.

I have a B.A. in English, and English is my first love. I believe English and Math are the key subject areas to a successful academic career. I have worked with G.E.D., SAT, and ACT students in many areas (to help them improve their results).

I have owned my company since 1995. I have branded the company to teacher K-12 and ABE (Adult Basic Education) courses. Additionally, I have had to use my business education to control my company as its bookkeeper, accountant, manager, and marketer. Also, I have taught Introduction to Business as an adjunct professor at Frederick Community College in Maryland.

I am a tutor of more than 25 years, and I have been required to evaluate curriculum with an understanding of Common Core practices (as it relates to RELA, ELA, and Creative Writing courses). Also, I worked in the P.G. County School system where again I was required to create lesson plans which reflected Common Core goals. Still further, I have created and implemented course curriculum in the public school system in which I was required to include Common Core goals for grades 6-9.

I have worked in the PG County School System (Maryland) as a Reading Interventionist to 3rd and 4th Graders. Additionally, In PG County Schools I taught ELA (English Language Arts) and Creative Writing to 6-7 Graders. Through my company, I have tutored all ages in many subject areas (Math, English, Music, et. al.).

I have taught GED subjects via my company. Additionally, I home schooled my daughter and she used the GED to verify completing her high school requirements.

I have taught grades K-12 to Homeschool, Public School, and Charter School students. I am a lifelong learner and took it upon myself to become well versed in many subject areas which applies to K-12 students (as well as ABE students). Over the years, By way of my company, I have had the pleasure of working with many students who were being homeschool - this included periodically meeting with the student's area school board to verify the student's educational (or academic) status.

I started my company in 1995 - some 25+ years of experience. Having taken courses in Marketing during my college career I utilized that knowledge to brand my company from a marketing perspective. Additionally, as an adjunct professor at Frederick Community College teaching Introduction to Business, marketing was a part of the curriculum for that class - each student had to create a business and a business plan and this entailed an understanding of marketing.

I started taking photographs in high school where I took several classes in the field. I continued taking classes in photography in college at UDC. Today, I use my own photographs and videos to promote my company (JAKESONG) endeavors for marketing and advertisement purposes.

I have work with video and film production for more than 30 years. Currently, I produce a podcast on the medium website. For the podcast which is video driven I am concerned with scheduling the interview, writing the scripted questions, finding or creating the background music, and editing the video once it is shot (using various music, photographic, and video software).
