I specialize in helping children and adults build confident reading skills through the Orton-Gillingham approach. I have worked with students from kindergarten through age 60 and feel confident in my ability to bring hope and renewed confidence to even the most discouraged learner. My mindset follows the "Sea of Strengths" theory of dyslexia, offering encouragement alongside the systematic structure of the Orton Gillingham method. I earned my initial certification in 2013 through the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education (IMSE) and completed graduate-level coursework for the Dyslexia Certificate Program through the Dyslexia Training Institute (DTI).

Both IMSE and DTI are accredited by the International Dyslexia Association (IDA) at the Accreditation Plus level. This designation recognizes programs that have undergone rigorous review and fully meet the IDA Knowledge and Practice Standards, the gold standard in educator preparation for structured literacy and dyslexia intervention.

In addition to my private tutoring practice, I volunteer with the Dyslexia Reading Program in Baltimore, supporting children and adults from under-resourced communities who are affected by dyslexia and other language-based learning challenges. I am also the author of The Adventures of Everyday Geniuses children’s book series, another way I strive to create a positive ripple in the world for the common good.

I look forward to working with you!

I earned my Orton-Gillingham certification in 2013 through The Institute for Multi-Sensory Education (IMSE). In addition, I have completed all coursework for the Dyslexia Certificate Program and further Orton-Gillingham certification through the Dyslexia Training Institute (DTI). Both IMSE and DTI are accredited by the International Dyslexia Association (IDA) at the Accreditation Plus level, recognizing programs that have undergone rigorous review and meet the IDA Knowledge and Practice Standards, the gold standard in educator preparation for structured literacy and dyslexia intervention. I have been successfully tutoring both children and adults using the Orton-Gillingham method. I am also a qualified tutor with the Dyslexia Tutoring Program in Baltimore, Maryland.
