I earned my initial Orton Gillingham certificate in 2013 through The Institute for Multi-Sensory Education (IMSE) and have completed all coursework for the Dyslexia Certificate Program through the Dyslexia Training Institute (DTI). This included intensive Orton Gillingham training.
Both IMSE and DTI are accredited by the International Dyslexia Association (IDA) at the Accreditation Plus level. This designation recognizes programs that have undergone rigorous review and fully meet the IDA Knowledge and Practice Standards, the gold standard in educator preparation for structured literacy and dyslexia intervention.
In addition to my private tutoring practice, I volunteer with the Dyslexia Reading Program in Baltimore, supporting children and adults from under-resourced communities who are affected by dyslexia and other language-based learning challenges. I am also the author of The Adventures of Everyday Geniuses children’s book series—another way I strive to create a positive ripple in the world for the common good.
I look forward to working with you!
