I have performed in various corners of the world, immersing myself in the traditional music of different cultures. This rich tapestry of experiences informs my teaching, allowing me to offer a broad and inclusive perspective on music.

In my teaching, I embrace a diverse array of students, ranging from young beginners to seasoned players. I also have experience teaching special needs students. My commitment to fostering a supportive and dynamic learning environment ensures that every student, regardless of age or ability, has the opportunity to grow and thrive musically.

Alani believes that a strong foundation in music theory, combined with a dynamic and engaging lesson plan, is key to reaching any musical goal. For that reason, she tailors her approach to meet each student's unique needs. Although she occasionally works from books when requested, Alani generally prefers a personalized teaching method that encourages students to explore what inspires them and delve into the music that captivates their interest.

Alani is a young and passionate fiddle and violin teacher. She enjoys working with students of all ages and levels. In her private lessons, she covers topics such as repertoire, technique, ear training, music reading (if desired), improvisation, and playing music with others, all within the context of student interests and goals. Students often describe Alani as very patient, good at communicating, and flexible in her methods.
