Hi, my name is Esther! I recently graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor’s in Biology, on the Pre-Med track, where I completed Calculus with an A for the second time after taking AP Calc in high school. In addition, I took Honors math courses on the fast track and earned nothing lower than a B+.Outside of science and math, I am also passionate about languages. I studied abroad in Aix-en-Provence, France, and later returned to France as an English Language Assistant through the TAPIF program. Living and teaching abroad gave me the chance to design lesson plans, practice patience and creativity in the classroom, and work closely with students at different learning levels. With this mix of science and language training, I feel prepared to support students across multiple subjects.
I’ve always loved helping others learn, and my experiences have given me the chance to work with a wide range of students. In France, I guided middle and high school students as they built their English skills, and at Boston College I mentored first-generation students, helping them develop study strategies, manage their time, and feel more confident navigating academics. I’ve also worked in both group and one-on-one settings—as a camp counselor, peer advisor, and residential counselor—so I know how important it is to meet students where they are. These roles taught me that no two learners are alike. Some need concepts broken down step by step, others benefit from visuals or practice problems, and many learn best through encouragement and discussion. What connects all of these experiences is my belief in creating an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and supported in reaching their goals.
