I have 7+ years of experience as a high school math and science teacher. I have taught in a variety of different environments, from public schools to elite college prep schools all over the US. My goal is to simplify and clearly explain concepts to allow students to learn with less frustration. Prior to teaching at the secondary level, I completed a PhD in biophysics at a top US medical school. During this time, I worked as a research scientist in a molecular biology laboratory. My work led to the publication of 7 peer-reviewed journal articles and a completed dissertation in molecular neuroscience. Based on my wide-ranging experience, I am comfortable working with new learners who are struggling with material they are seeing for the first time, as well as seasoned students learning more advanced material.
