I have a masters degree in Civil Engineering and currently work for a real estate service company in the role of a database administrator. I have experience in teaching high school students and freshmen college students several subjects in math including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus and calculus. This current year of 2017-2018 I am teaching the following subjects: two high school students calculus, one high school student precalculus, one middle school student algebra and ACT math, two high school students in algebra 2, one college student physics II (electricity and magnetism, electromagnetic waves, optics) and a separate class on statics and mechanics of structures, one college student structures. I love teaching math and enjoy everything math related.

I realize that students need help with the material that is being covered by their teachers. In order to help my students catch up and stay up to date on their class material, I visit their teachers' school websites and collect information on classroom material and help the student with that knowledge.

I assess a student's knowledge by initially testing the student in the subjects I am assigned to teach by quizzing and testing. I use this assessment in my teaching to gradually bring the student to their potential.

Available on Short notice and very helpful

Visit regarding ACT math. My daughter will take the ACT in 2 days and felt anxious about not being prepared. We met with Imtiazur today for 75 minutes. He identified common kinds of problems on the ACT and worked with her to ascertain her level of understanding and work with her to develop ways to maximize her score in the time she had left. She will likely continue to meet with him for AP Calculus and to help hone her skills for ACT math for the test in June.

Knowledgeable and patient tutor

My son has had several tutoring sessions with Imtiazur and they have been very effective. Imtiazur helped to fill in any gaps that were missed in the regular classroom which helped my son maintain A's in both AP Physics and Honors Pre-Calc. We plan to continue to utilize Imtiazur's help in these areas.

Excellent tutor.

It has been 20 years since taking Calculus I and jumping back into Calculus II has been a challenge. Imtiazur has helped me transition back into the math mentality.
