I began tutoring computer science and mathematics at a community college when I was 28 and I still love it! My goal as a tutor is to teach students how to solve the immediate problem at hand as well as how to solve similar problems independently in the future. Brian has really helped me! I’m a beginner in a 6 mo bootcamp at Nashville Software School in a Software Development program. It is an accelerated learning program and team based. I need someone to walk me through the work at the end of most days and Brian has been very patient and is extremely knowledgeable. I’ve needed someone to fill in the gaps of my understanding of the material and help me with foundational concepts as well. I think he’s explained what a function is 12 times to me and doesn’t seem to mind that my learning style is based on my under grad and graduate work in business admin and humanities.. I’m a very abstract and deep thinker so coding has not come easy for me. I would have quit by now but I feel way more confident after each tutoring session! He is flexible with scheduling, affordable, reliable and timely.
