Is your student needing additional help in English class with writing, analysis, discussion or test-taking? I have taught English since 1997 and currently teach at a college preparatory academy. I have helped adults learning or improving English, returning college students, and students in k-12 education improve their study skills, writing, reading, and English.

I finished my Master's in Writing, Rhetoric & Discourse at DePaul, focusing on digital writing, the teaching of writing, and English as a second language. I have graduate experience in literature as well and have helped students in A.P. English classes.

If scoring higher on the ACT or SAT is one of your child's goals, I can help with that as well. I have worked with students of many backgrounds, and even if your student has not found success before, I have confidence I can help.

Whether your middle-grade student is trying to win an award or your high school student needs a better score for admission or scholarships, I can help.

If you are interested in long-term (i.e., school-year tutoring), please contact me and we can discuss rates and schedule availability. If we are meeting more than once per week, I usually offer a discount.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Please cancel appointments at least 48 hours before scheduled time. Last minute cancellations require a fee equal to one hour of tutoring. If we can make up the time during THAT week, I will not assess a fee. Continued cancellations may result in loss of time slot. My apologies for this, but I often have a waitlist!
